Pragmatic Training can help you to combine training and employment that lead to a nationally recognised qualification.

Traineeship

Pragmatic Training is allocated Traineeship places annually by the Office of Tertiary Training and Education (OTTE) where eligible students are able to seek employment in workplaces related to courses under the Government Traineeship Scheme.

This means, if the potential student fits the following criteria of:

  • New Worker
    — i.e. employed at a workplace — less than 3 months full time or — less than 12 months part time

  • No prior qualifications
    — i.e. must not have a Certificate III qualification in any industry. They may then be eligible for a Traineeship. The student or workplace will be required to contact an Apprenticeship Centre (AC) to come to the workplace to explain the conditions further and reassess student eligibility.

Once the student is deemed eligible then the student, workplace representative and the AC representative will sign a tripartite agreement which will trigger student course fees to be paid to Pragmatic Training at designated course module progression.

The student will then be required to contact Pragmatic Training and complete registration forms and prerequisites prior to course commencement.
