Pragmatic Training - Practical learning for a dynamic workplace

The Victoriaworks for Parents Returning to Work Program is an initiative of the Victorian State Government, administered by Adult Multicultural Education Services (AMES).   The program provides support to parents to return to work after an absence caring for children. Grants of up to $1000 are available which can be used to cover any costs associated with approved training such as books and materials, course fees, transport and childcare.

 If you fit the following criteria you may be eligible for a grant of up to $1000.

• Are you a parent returning to the workforce?
• Have you been caring for dependent children and have not worked for more than four months (full time or equivalent part-time) during the last 2 years?
• Not participated in education or accredited training in the last two years?
• Intend to enrol in training to improve workplace skills and/or earning potential?
• Are you currently not employed and plan to return to paid work in the next 12 months?
• Are you an Australian citizen living in Victoria?
• Not previously received financial assistance under this program (previous versions known as Returning to Earning or Parents Return to Work)

Parents eligible for the program initiate their application for a grant directly through the Victoriaworks for Parents Returning to Work (RTW) Program. Once approved, parents can enrol in an eligible course with an approved provider. The grant entitles participants to draw on up to $1000 for training fees and related costs.

Pragmatic Training is registered to deliver training to eligible participants. A grant of up to $1000 is available for study and associated child care costs.
