Course Objectives

The nationally recognised qualification HLT21207
— Certificate II in Health Support Services covers workers who provide support for the effective functioning of a range of health services. These workers do not provide direct care assistance functions such as assisting other staff with the care of clients. This is an entry-level qualification and is suited to Australian Apprenticeship pathways.

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisites for this qualification. A literacy and numeracy test is required before commencement of all Pragmatic Training qualification courses. People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Course Delivery Options

Flexible delivery options include classroom based, distance via correspondence, online and workplace based. Pragmatic Training formally recognises prior learning (RPL/RCC) and Credit Transfer. Where possible State / Commonwealth Government Funding will be sought.

Further Study

Certificate III in Health Support Services; Certificate III and IV in Aged Care Work; Certificate III in Children’s Services and Certificate IV in Community Services Work (Lifestyle and Leisure).
