CHC42002 - Certificate IV in Community Services (Service Co-ordination)

Course Objectives

The nationally recognised CHC42002 - Certificate IV in Community Services (Service Co-ordination) course reflects the role of individuals that work within residential facilities, group homes, community agencies and government departments. These workers apply knowledge and skills gained through qualifications or previous experience to resolve problems within organisational guidelines. These workers coordinate specific programs and / or projects and supervise and / or coordinate a limited number of lower classified workers or volunteers and report to a service manager. They undertake a first line management role. Workers at this level are required to have an understanding of Indigenous culture and history and to work with local communities in the provision of services.

Entry Requirements

Interview process and a strong interest in the work is required. A literacy and numeracy test is required before commencement of all Pragmatic Training qualification courses.

Course Delivery Options

Flexible delivery options include classroom based, distance via correspondence and workplace based. Pragmatic Training formally recognises prior learning (RPL/RCC ) and Credit Transfer. Where possible State / Commonwealth Government Funding will be sought.
