Work may be under professional supervision within defined organisational guidelines or as sole practitioners. These workers (assist in) design, implement and evaluate health and leisure for clients in one or more sector areas. These workers may be responsible for other workers.

Course Content / Structure
This course comprises 9 core units and 4 electives units which make up the total of thirteen units required for your CHC41602 — Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisue).

Assessment
Assessment is competency based and can include written papers, classroom activities, verbal presentations and the demonstration of work-based competencies.
Industry Placement
As part of your training you are required to undertake compulsory work placements of approximately 200 hours, or be employed in an occupation that provides opportunity for skill development and assessment.
The course coordinator will arrange the location, time and duration of any required placement.
Entry Requirements
Essential requirements are:
- Good reading and writing skills or other forms of visual/electronic communication.
- Relevant Certificate III or equivalent qualification.
- Current or recent employment in a relevant industry.

Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications.
