This qualification is part of the Community Services Training Package. Successful completion of a CHC30308 — Certificate III in Home and Community Care gives you the skills to provide care and support within residential homes and the community to older people or people with disabilities.
There are 15 units of competency which make up a CHC30308 — Certificate III in Home and Community Care. There are 11 compulsory units and 4 electives. Competency is required in all 15 units.

Workplace training gives you the opportunity to develop practical job skills, such as interacting with people in a professional environment, developing communication skills, as well as an insight into particular job roles and responsibilities. Others have found workplace training enhanced their chances of getting a job and succeeding at it.
Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications.
As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognized. On successful completion students will be awarded the Certificate III in Home and Community Care.
