BSB51407 — Diploma of Project Management is for people who are currently in a project management role or as part of a team working on projects and aims to develop the skills and knowledge required of a modern-day project manager.
The Diploma of Project Management provides the skills and knowledge required to plan and manage projects that achieve the goals and objectives important to project managers and their organisation — regardless of industry. It gives a working knowledge of Project Management as well as an understanding of methods, techniques and tools available to help you manage your projects more effectively. This includes planning, management, administration, payroll, maintaining a workgroup network, document design and development, marketing and finance.
This qualification is aimed at people who want to pursue a career in project management working in middle management, senior management or project management.
There are nine units of competency which make up a BSB51407 — Diploma of Project Management. Competency is required in all 9 units.

The Diploma of Project Management is designed around work-based tasks and projects. This allows the participant to gain experience in real situations and have the opportunity to practice and develop skills, interact with colleagues and clients and utilise their growing knowledge of their company’s processes, products and services
Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications.
As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised. On successful completion students will be awarded the Diploma of Project Management.
