Australian Quality Training Framework
The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) provides the basis for Australia’s nationally consistent, high quality vocational education and training system. Pragmatic Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) within the AQTF.
The AQTF also stipulates a unified system of national qualifications — the Australian Qualifications Framework (commonly known as the AQF). The framework links together all these qualifications and is a quality-assured national system of educational recognition that promotes lifelong learning and a seamless and diverse education and training system.
It covers qualifications issued by secondary schools, vocational education and training (VET) providers and higher education institutions. All qualifications are nationally recognised. What are the Qualification levels
with the Australian Qualifications Framework?
Within the Australian Qualifications Framework, the following vocational education and training qualifications available:
- Certificate I
- Certificate II
- Certificate III
- Certificate IV
- Diploma
- Advanced Diploma
- Vocational Graduate Certificate
- Vocational Graduate Diploma
Training Packages specify the combination of competency standards required to achieve a particular qualification. Learners who complete some, but not all, standards for a qualification are awarded a statement of attainment. When they are assessed as competent in the remaining standards, they get the qualification.
